TOMMY MALLET PROVES THE ESSEX STEREOTYPE WRONG AND LAUNCHES HIS BUSINESS EMPIRE

28-Year-old Tommy mallet, known best from UK television tv reality series “TOWIE”, shuts down the typical Essex stereotype that people from Essex are unintelligent and launches his own business clothing and footwear business known as “Mallet” six years ago, which has since made millions.
Tv reality star, soon to be father and now entrepreneur grew up in Islington, north London. Mallet moved to Essex when he was 15 years old. According to the Forbes interview with Mallet, when he was at school he was diagnosed with dyslexia and left school with no GCSES. Mallet then worked as a carpenter for three years and then In 2014 made his appearance on “TOWIE” also known as, “The only way is Essex”. His cheeky chap personality and relationship with “Georgia Kousoulou” threw him out into the eyes of the public and since then both Tommy and Georgia blossomed in their careers and have both been on the show for eight years. From here, Mallet built his following to 1 million on Instagram and 316k on Twitter.
According to daily mail and Mallets social media, Mallet has recently been added to the Forbes influential entrepreneurs list and it is said that his brand is now worth 2.5 million and is stocked in 150 countries worldwide. Tommy opens up to daily mail and expresses that the inspiration behind the footwear brand was the fact that he used to get teased over his cheap shoes as a teenager and he said he never had enough money to buy nice trainers and not being able to afford them pushed his passion to succeed even more.
Tommy Mallet has also been known for his campaign “#icrybecause”, which went viral causing everyone to get involved with it on social media. On the show TOWIE, Mallet was seen with all his friends talking about the campaign. In his interview with BBC NEWS, Mallet said that his aim was to encourage men to open up about his feelings, which comes from a time in Mallets life where he struggled to cope, never left the house wanted others to speak up about their struggles with mental health.
