Monica Rose – The Wardrobe to A-List Celebrities

Los-Angeles based, Monica Rose, a creative, celebrity stylist and mother, has surpassed 1M on Instagram, as she continues to flaunt personality into her celebs fit.
Rose always had a passion for fashion but never thought about becoming a stylist until the opportunity ensued. She began her stylist career eighteen years ago, whilst working at a retail store in a North Californian shopping centre. Whilst completing her job at the mall, Rose became focused on the one-on-one sessions with customers and found her enthusiasm for styling individuals. ‘I did everything I possibly could, from management to opening stores and working with a stylist in studio services and training sales associates. I would even help some clients organize their closets.’
The stylist grew up with minimal experience in fashion, so had to quickly gain an understanding of how things work in the industry when focusing on progressing to a stylist job. ‘There was so much that I had no idea about. So,everything I learned, I learned on my own. I had to learn fast, I had to learn about editorials, I had to learn about stories, I had to learn about lighting.’
Rose balanced her schedule, to gain experience in editorial shoots helping a hand to stylists, as she knew this career path was what she took great pleasure in. In 2007, Rose was asked to attend a shoot with Complex Magazine, where she met Kim Kardashian for the first time. ‘She was just so sweet. We reconnected a year later when they were filming the show and ended up working together on everything she had going on.’
After introductions to Kim’s family and friends, Rose began making a name for herself when the celebrity would post her work on social media. Over the years, Rose gained good feedback from curating client’s style and a gaining a large following, which opened her up to the world of celebrities. Now, with a larger studio and a team, Rose has manoeuvred her way to the top, working with prestigious clients and doing what she loves. Now the signature staples from Rose’s work, consists of dramatic coats and black chokers, as she dresses her growing clientele list, including Jennifer Lopez, Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen.
‘I’ve really surprised myself with how far I’ve come in this business. I’ve never been the type of person who has planned my life out.’
