Quentin Tarantino announces his retirement after 10th & final film
Renowned American film director Quentin Tarantino plans to retire after his next film Once Upon A Time suggesting it’s best to quit while he’s at the top of his game.
During Quentin Tarantino’s interview with comedian Bill Maher, the two discuss his career and Maher attempts to talk him out of early retirement however Tarantino remains firm in his belief it’s best to go out with a bang. He explains to Bill Maher “Because I know film history, and from here on in, directors do not get better.”
He continues:
“I haven’t retired yet; I still have another one to go. I don’t have a reason that I would want to say out loud that’s going to win any argument in a court of public opinion or a Supreme Court or anything like that. But at the same time, working for 30 years doing as many movies as I’ve done, which is not as many as other people, that’s a long career. That’s a really long career. And I’ve given it everything I have. Every single solitary thing I have.”
