Meet Beckii Flint, otherwise known by her YouTube stage name, Beckii Cruel. The Isle of Man born businesswoman that reached popularity in Japan due to her video content on YouTube and has now earned several titles including an entrepreneur, singer, dancer, and influencer marketing wizard.

Flint started her YouTubing journey back in 2007, posting several videos dancing to songs which later turned into internet memes and widespread quickly.  ‘I was very much aware of viral videos, and I was an avid content viewer before I was a content creator. However, I never imagined any of my videos had the potential to also go viral!’ 

After signing with several talent agencies and being flown out to Japan to seek advice from agents, Flint rose in popularity overseas.

‘As an idol and a YouTuber, I was often collaborating with various brands and promoting them through my channels. I was always so interested in this side of the business, and when I left home and moved to London, I had the opportunity to join an influencer marketing business.’

In 2017, with knowledge on strategies and social media, Flint spoke in the house of lords for their inquiry into influencer marketing.

Now Flint is the proud co-founder of Pepper Studio, a multi award-winning boutique influencer marketing agency based in London. With clients including Nakd Wholefoods, Finish, TripAdvisor and many more, the entrepreneur aims to use insights, campaigns, intelligence, and vital connections to give the best media presence for brands.

Most recently Flint was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List, took part in The Media Show ‘How to earn a living on social media’ and was one of the MYCOMEUP panellists at our ‘How I made it’ event.
