The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and Made in NY by IFP have partnered up to offer artists the Entrepreneur Innovation Grant.
Grants, which are open to New York City–based content creators and businesses tackling mediums such as filmmaking, post-production, animation, gaming, and virtual reality in innovative ways are eligible to receive a $5,000–$10,000 grant if they’re in the beginning stages of their development and funding.
“This cash injection will allow entrepreneurs and innovators to kick start the progress of their businesses in their nascent stages,” said Joana Vicente, executive director of IFP and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, in a statement. “In a climate where investment and funding within the media [and] technology sectors are increasingly scarce and expensive, the Grants provide equity and stake-free support to those pushing the boundaries of creative innovation.
