J. Cole drops new single ” i n t e r l u d e” early: What’s the star been up to?

After keeping fans waiting J. Cole has dropped an early release , coming out with an instagram post saying :

“Told myself I would drop the album all at once. Sometimes you gotta say f*ck it tho.” New song tonight. 12 o’clock.

The latest single dropped titled ” i n t e r l u d e,” is part of his new album The Off-Season. The popular rapper will be releasing the full album on the 14th of May.  The anticipated album has caused alot of excitement amongst loyal J Cole fans who haven’t heard from him since his 2018 album KOD. The Off-Season album will mark J. Cole’s sixth album.

The new song shows a new side of J. Cole which is often what keeps fans holding out for a new album excited to see what new innovative ways J. Cole has created to explore various subjects from race, family, love, relationships, manhood, culture and more. 

This has been the longest time fans have had to go without a J Cole album however being labelled the GOAT ( Greatest Of All Time) devoted supporters are rooting for the album and sure it won’t disappoint. 

J. Cole reveals on Twitter it’s been years in the making fans replied with memes and ongoing jokes amongst dreamville stans. 

Just know this was years in the making.

Besides grinding in the studio what else has J Cole been up to ? 

J. Cole is now officially the new team member for Rwandan basketball team The Patriots. 

Arriving in Rwanda just a few days ago, Cole is expected to play in the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League after he quarantines. The Patriots will play in the first BAL game against Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers.

Referencing Lebron James and Michael Jordan in his lyrics and being a huge fan of the game the grammy-winning rapper has never played basketball professionally.

However, the star has been heavily involved in the world of basketball. His first job in New York City was as a basketball coach for kids in queens. In 2012 he also appeared in the NBA’s Celebrity All-Star game held during the league’s annual All-Star Weekend.

Before J Cole’s new album is released let’s take a look back at his previous success.

Cole initially gained recognition as a rapper after the release of his debut mixtape, The Come Up, in early 2007.

After signing with Jay-Z ‘s label Roc Nation in 2009 J. Cole release two additional mixtapes.

 His career skyrocketed soon after. Cole released his debut studio album, ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story, in 2011. The killer album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Since arriving on the scene in 2007 all of the albums  Cole has dropped have gone platinum or even better.

 In 2020 J Cole won a grammy for best rap song for ‘A Lot’ with 21 Savage.
