The Comedy Queen Sharing Mental Health Awareness

US born, Christina Wolfgram has amassed more than 50K followers on Instagram as she keeps her viewers laughing and continues to spread mental health awareness.
The thirty-one-year-old, started her social media accounts back in 2013, to share comedic posts and has continued to do so until now. Whilst posting, Wolfgram began to struggle with her mental health and shared her experiences on the online platform. Quickly, she began to notice how her followers’ feelings were reciprocal, so carried on making her Instagram a distribution of honest posts. ‘Receiving comments and messages from other people like me made me feel less alone than ever.’
Before becoming a renowned Influencer, Comedian, Writer and Video Producer, Wolfgram took an Honours Bachelor’s Degree at The Catholic University of America subsequently obtaining a Masters in Writing at the University of Southern California. After Wolfgram’s studies, she moved to Los Angeles to work as a Disney Princess and started to write for Hello Giggles, an online community for women covering lifestyle and female empowerment topics.
In 2018, ‘Christina Tried Her Best’ aired, a Facebook series of Wolfgram trying out different activities, which got over a hundred million views in a season. The influencer began to pursue her career, writing for online platforms like Buzzfeed and Refinery29. Over the years, Wolfgram started to pick up a large following as she composed multiple music parodies and specialised comedy for women.
Now, Wolfgram has shared her mailing address on social media so followers can send their art that she can promote on social media. As well as this, Wolfgram started a podcast and additional Instagram page with the intention to let viewers with mental health issues they’re not alone. The writers dream would be to get cast in a TV musical but remains the ‘sit-down comedian’ that makes mental health problems a current and discussed topic.
