From chicken shops to content creator – Could Asfar be the next viral sensation?

New arrival to the content creator scene, is 31-year-old Asfar Khan from East London, Hackney, currently working as an internal manager. The aspiring entertainer creates content on his social media platforms and is found under the name @duo_at. Asfar makes comedy videos varying from “How different people play call of duty” to “Santa in the ends”, as seen on his Instagram. Asfar also makes adverts for companies and brands and posts them on his social media. Asfars newest move are his recent videos which he’s branded ‘social distance news’ as seen on his Instagram, here he talks about relevant content of the here and now and whatever seems to be trending at the time, with his unique and humorous take on it.

What made you want to become a content creator?

“I started making content back in my younger days, when I studied media at college. They were comedy based and my goal was to entertain people. During lockdown, I decided to start creating content again as I wanted to bring joy and entertainment to the world.”

How does the advertising work?

“I make advertising videos for fun, I made them based on how people relate and feel about the product/brand. Once I made the video, I would then send it to the company/creator of the product and show them. I got a good response from them, which was great.”

What sort of responses did you get?

“I got a good response from the company’s/creators. Famous presenter and owner of miji masks, Maya Jama, responded and shared a story tagging me, saying “I’m bussing up, he done a better advert than I could ever make”. Also, when I advertised for Morley’s UK, they responded writing “put this guy on the wireless line up”. The responses can be seen on my Instagram story highlights.”

What do you plan to do next?

“I plan to link up with other content creators and make more content that people like to see. My dream career, is to become a content creator or an advert maker.”
