May 12, 2021

At the age of just 23 Grace Beverly has created an empire from her huge social media following of 1 Million people. She is the founder and CEO of three successful fitness brands TALA, B_ND and Shreddy.

Beverly started her first company B_ND back in 2017 when she was still studying at Oxford University. B_ND had made its mark in the fitness market standing out with its vegan-friendly resistance bands. Since then Beverly has created two more successful brands TALA and Shreddy, all three focusing on creating ethical, sustainable and inclusive gym wear and equipment.

In 2019 she won Natwest’s young entrepreneur of the year award due to her efforts in creating a sustainable gym wear brand. Grace’s influential story led her to ranking as the 26th most influential online creator by The Sunday Times – despite this she has faced criticism over her private school background and privileged upbringing. “I’ve done this myself – the businesses have been started from scratch by myself.”

As well as being ethically sourced and sustainable, B_ND, TALA and Shreddy show women of all ages, sizes and ethnicities modelling and endorsing the gym wear. The aim to encourage women to feel comfortable and confident in gym clothes. The brands cater for women sizes 4-20 and stands by their principles of showing true unfiltered bodies as Grace is aware of her influence online and has talked about the damaging effects of photoshop and unobtainable beauty standards as seen on Instagram.
