Patrick Hoelck, an American contemporary photographer and director, calls his interviewing of Creative Entrepreneur Luka Sabbat with over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, on what the duo call “a Hollywood Walk” around the streets of LA.  On this walk, the two converse in an in-depth interview on Sabbat’s life, childhood and aspirations. Hoelck calls his show “a biography in seven minutes” and has interviewed celebrities such as Zachery Quinto, Diane Kruger and Liv Tyler.

As the two of them walk the boulevards, Sabbat discusses his childhood growing up in Paris and New York, and how the cities influenced his life. Along the way, Hoelck shows off his skills as a photographer,  snapping shots of Sabbat against the urban background for some creative street photography.

Words of wisdom are exchanged, including the memorable line by Sabbat, “You are the company you keep, my dad always told me, so that’s why I try not to hang out with jackasses”

When Hoelck asks what he is curious about, Sabbat replies he is curious about all forms of film making from movies to music videos to animation – the film is his favourite kind of storytelling. He dives into upcoming projects and his passions for the arts. The two even find themselves playing tennis across the streets at night and play word association games and fun thought experiments. The interview captures emotion and spirit, and it’s clear the two are enjoying the fluid dynamic of the interview. Casual and relaxed, not stiff and scripted.
