Malik On A Mission To Motivate

Philanthropist and influencer Malik Jarret set out on a mission to change the attitude of individuals and persuade them to follow their career goals. Now as a CEO of Elevate All The Time (E.A.T) and a football team coach, his goal is to aid younger generations lost in the educational system.

The North-East, Washington D.C. raised entrepreneur, began playing football at six years old and Jarret quickly came to realise that working hard can give you luxuries ‘That helped shape me, as an individual, as a young man and just taught me a lot of things about life that I still carry in life, as far as like leadership skills and things like that.’

In 2008, as a teenager, Jarret began selling baseball caps at a profit to college seniors, after purchasing a couple from local markets. In later years, Jarret established a passion for photography, going backstage in media pits to get good coverage. After some individuals didn’t credit his work, the entrepreneur decided he needed a brand symbol which later led him to E.A.T.

The necessity for a logo led him to produce T-shirts incorporating it and the rest is history, as he now owns a successful streetwear clothing and sneaker line. As Jarret grew his fashion empire, he wanted to give back to the community that helped him grow his brand in the first place. This is when E.A.T Cares was born, a platform to provide youths with entrepreneurial skills, job training and anti-violence campaigning, as well as aiding the homeless and giving students necessary supplies for their education.

‘I’m spreading love and positivity in my community, so there shouldn’t be no room for any type of hate.’

As the proud owner of his organisation and business, Jarret has partnered with New Balance, DTLR, YCMC and many more to create constant opportunities and inspire to younger generations. Now the mentor is widening his horizons and is looking at following a profession as a DJ on the side-lines, whilst he continues to follow his passion of making equality a reality.

‘I’m like a vessel for guidance.’
