Stay Weird and Love What You Do

Prishant K Jutlla

Tasha J. Miller is the creator of Jubly-Umph, a brand all about being weird, quirky and fun, and not caring what others think. She creates all of her one-off pieces from scratch and brings them to life as enamel pins, jewellery, fashion, books and more.

Jubly [jub-buh-lee] – A thing that is good and quirky

Umph [uum-ff] – An expression of surprise or bewilderment

Jubly-Umph is made for people who like to celebrate what makes them different, and sees those qualities as their strengths. They often contain cheeky humour, puns and inspiration quotes that her fans can wear everyday.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Miller has always been a creative individual with a passion for art, feminism and books. Always drawing and reading through school, feeling introverted, creating art and getting lost in magical stories. As she grew up, she channeled that passion into her work and made the Jubly-Umph brand.

Miller isn’t apologetic about what she illustrations, often using swear words and fighting language in her products. But among that, her products radiate positivity and expression, just like Miller does. On her blog, she’s talked about her experiences growing up as an introvert and low self-esteem with her appearance. She has posted many times about loving herself and her body and encouraging self-love and mental health. Her pins and artwork often illustrate that point, and she has her t-shirts go up to size extra large to support inclusivity of all body sizes.

With 50.7K followers on Instagram, she has created items for the weird individual who aren’t ashamed of who they are, and want to have pieces that reflect that.

On her Instagram, Miller shows many different sides to her business. Not only promoting new products and keeping her audience updated with announcements, but she goes into the business side of running a huge shop. Often, Miller shares reels and stories of her studio and behind the scenes of packaging and illustrating, lucky dip videos and sharing her personal life through polls and fun Tik Tok challenges.

Miller’s products stretch from many corners of her personality, from book lover, using quotes and imagery from The Hobbit to Alice in Wonderland. Arts and crafts is also predominantly seen through her pins, using illustrations of craft supplies, sewing machines and knitting to express the love.

Tasha J. Miller has shown herself to be a feminist and has created products to reflect that. With glittery pins framing quotes such as ‘Feminism is for Everybody’, ‘I Will Be The Mistress of Myself’, and ‘Beware, For I am Fearless & Therefore Powerful’.

Miller’s dedication to staying true to her weird, quirky self is what makes her inspiring.
