Nineteen-year-old, Jack Sweeney must be one of the only teenagers to turn down five thousand dollars from Elon Musk and haggle for more. The Florida University student and aviation fanatic previously developed a bot which keeps track of Musk’s private flights, which later formed into a Twitter account that monitors and updates posts whenever the plane departs.

With over two hundred and fifty thousand followers and counting, the @ElonJet social media profile resulted in quite the uprising from the entrepreneur and business magnate. Originally Musk direct messaged Sweeney writing, ‘Can you take this down? It’s a security risk.’

After a seesaw of conversation, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO offered five thousand dollars in exchange for the student to delete his account. No one was expecting Sweeney’s daring response of ‘Any chance to up that to $US50K? Account and all my help.’

Although Sweeney took a fearless shot in the dark, Musk sent a final response stating how he shouldn’t have to pay to shut this account down. In one last counter proposal, the teen is hoping to receive a response to the recent message ‘Options other than remuneration, like an internship, would make taking it down a lot easier.’
